Doesn't do anything

Sorry if this is the wrong place for plugin help for sublime-view-in-browser.

I am new to ST3, struggling with it. I followed the installation instructions, installing package control then sublime-view-in-browser. I added the keybindings and settings. I wrote a trivial index.html and tried the keystrokes and the command in package control. Nothing has any effect. I see no error messages other than a red bar across the Settings in the sublime-settings file. I tried to fix this by moving the settings to file "View In Browser.sublime-settings" but still nothing happens.
