Running actions on MIDI IN events

Hi @alf45tar,

I was wondering if it is currently possible to configure actions to run when CC / PC MIDI messages are received via MIDI IN?

If not possible at the moment, I think it would be a powerful feature to allow syncing the state of an external controller to the Pedalino.

For example, I would like to turn on a particular footswitch LED when receiving a CC message.

Hey @alf45tar, is there any chance I could get access to the source? I could try forking it privately and working on some of the enhancements with AI and submit PRs if anything works 😄 Or even if I could just do it for my own application, it would be really cool to be able to experiment. I know you went to a closed source model not too long ago but maybe a model where sponsors have access to the source would be the best of both worlds to still allow contributions?

Source code includes activation code which is high sensitive. I could consider sharing code with a high motivated person with proven programming skills. AI is good when used by an old school programmer not by a beginner.

An experienced dev has a mental map of the entire system architecture. They use AI to fill in the bricks, while a beginner often lets the AI build a house on a swamp.

When AI-generated code fails, a beginner is stuck. A veteran recognizes the logic error immediately because they know what the underlying memory management or control flow should look like.

Makes sense @alf45tar, I am a software engineer but with not much hardware experience. I was just hoping to experiment with building some features, even just for myself, but I understand about the activation logic. Still, thank you for all the work you've put into the project and I'd be happy to help.
Also, it would be nice to have a Discord community (or similar) of people who are using Pedalino, it might even help you by having the community answer frequently asked questions or helping with troubleshooting.
