Swarm Merging and Maximizing speed

Is there any way to do swarm merging?

I'm trying to maximize torrent download speeds for streaming.

Yes. I have put thought to it a few times. I believe it requires a refactoring of the storage to be keyed by hash. In particular with BitTorrent v2, it gets very complex because you can prove that arbitrary subtrees contain the matches you want.

I have avoided keying by file so far, which has resulted in various storages that map back and forth between piece and file. This refactor would add an extra step on top of this.

As an aside I'm actually considering using the end of this axis: One swarm that shares multiple torrents. It's a bit bizarre but is somewhat related to swarm merging.

Figured it would be pretty hard. One swarm for multiple torrents sounds interesting maybe even better keep me updated if there is any progress
