Last replaced in history?

I want to place the last_replaced entity into the (long) history.
With that data I want to see the battery usage over the years and see which devices consume more batteries than others.

As stated in some documents I add the state_class 'measurement' to all these entity add by adding this to the homeassistant: section in configuaration.yaml:

  customize_glob:
    sensor.*battery_last_replaced:
      state_class: measurement

But I do not see any history (no short, no long) details in HA.
I looked also in the database itself: No rows found.

What is going wrong here?

This isn't something I've looked into before so I'll add it to my list to investigate.
