Importing EDB / HFSS3D Layout PCB in Icepak with Components and modify Powerlosses

I'm trying to figure out how to import a EDB / HFSS3D Layout and import it including the components into and Icepak design.
I have issues to find this functionallity.

Hi Sebastian,

1. open the edb & add an Icepak design
2. import pcb component into Icepak
3. construct a dictionary to override component powers

from collections import OrderedDict

import pyaedt

# (1) Open edb + create Icepak design in the same project
def_path = r"mypath\edb.def"  # path to the EDB file
ipk = pyaedt.Icepak(def_path)
ipk.save_project()

# (2) Get design name of the hfss 3d layout and import pcb
pcb_design = ipk.design_list
pcb_design.remove(ipk.design_name)
pcb_design = pcb_design[0]
pcb_name = "PCB"
ipk.create_pcb_from_3dlayout(pcb_name, ipk.project_name, pcb_design, resolution=4)

# (3) override power -> create a dictionary iterating on all components and powers we want to override
pcb = ipk.native_components[pcb_name] # get pcb handler
comp_override = []
comp_names = ["comp1", "comp2", "comp3", "comp4"]
powers = ["0.1W", "0.1W", "0.2W", "0.3W"]

for i in range(len(comp_names)):

the script runs without error. But It does not import the hfss3d layout with the 3D Components.
it imports the PCB without the Parts defined in the HFSS3D Layout

Hi, the logic you should follow is the same: modify the dictionary containing all the properties.
So something like:
ipk.native_components["PCB"].props["NativeComponentDefinitionProvider"]["PartsChoice"]=1

(and then update)
