Export TDR data from HFSS as dataframe

Is it possible to get TDR report data directly available as array/dataframe similar to s-parameter solution data?

e.g. for s-parameters it works like:

traces = hfss.get_traces_for_plot(category='db(S')
solution = hfss.post.get_solution_data(expressions=traces)
df['s11'] = solution.data_db20(traces[0])

my workaround for the TDR is:

hfss.post.export_report_to_csv('C:\\temp', 'TDR Impedance')
df = pd.read_csv('C:\\temp\TDR Impedance.csv')

I would prefer a solution without file I/O

You can first create the report:

new_report2 = hfss.post.reports_by_category.standard("TDRZt(Probe_Port_T1)")
new_report2.pulse_rise_time = 3e-12
new_report2.maximum_time = 30e-12
new_report2.step_time = 6e-13
new_report2.time_windowing = 3
new_report2.domain = "Time"
new_report2.create()

And then get the data:

new_report2.get_solution_data()

Thanks @Samuelopez-ansys, that works great when I create the report via the API, however is it possible to read the data from an existing report when I open a solved project? I'd like to take the same TDR settings and would like to have a function like

if 'TDR Impedance' in hfss.post.all_report_names:
    new_report3 = hfss.post.get_report('TDR Impedance')
    new_report3.get_solution_data()

Does something like that exist, or would an enhancement be feasible?

Hi @fwlfHS ,

If you debug, you should find a property called "plots" that returns all the available reports.

myplot = hfss.post.plots[0]
myplot.get_solution_data

If plots is empty, and you can see in the UI reports, it means the PyAEDT object is not syncronize because maybe you created the report manually, then you need to save and recreate againt the PyAEDT object.
