Antlr-ng is a new TypeScript rewrite of the original Antlr4 tool by Mike Lischke. This generator can function as a complete replacement for the original Antlr4 Tool jar. Instead of Java being required, the Antlr-ng Tool uses node and npm. Otherwise, the templates for all targets (except TypeScript, which uses an entirely rewritten TypeScript runtime for Antlr package called Antlr4ng) are identical to official Antlr4.

Official Antlr4 and the next version Antlr5 are hasn't seen development in over a year, and likely the end of the tool. Antlr-ng is the next phase.
