Data Segment Size is limited in OMF Files

In my fork, there is no size limit (data segments can be larger than 64k) ... I'd love if I didn't have to have a hacked up version of the program. I also understand if you don't want to support this.

Specifically, putbin should allow large files

I'd like some input for this part. My understanding is a CODE segment can't be larger than 64 KB.

A DATA Segment could be bigger than 64 KB but is there a limit ? Is it 128 KB ? The OMF documentation in the GS/OS Reference is not very clear. And rare are the Apple IIgs programs using Segments larger than 64 KB. I'd like to study few of them (if you can point me out some of them).

Is the data inside this > 64 KB DATA Segment a block of byte without any references (Labels) inside. Can a label, exposed to other segments with en ENT be placed at a location > 64 KB from the beginning of this DATA segment ?

The way I use it, is specifically with putbin, to include data that is larger than 64K. All I care about is referencing that label. OMF itself has 24 bit lengths, I believe. So it is not code. It's not a situation where I just want code to sprawl over into the next bank (even if that would be nifty). I don't believe the code patch up stuff in the loader can handle relocating a code segment that is larger than 64K. I will see if I can produce an example that GS/OS will load
