Status update on #398?

#398 is an essential feature, but it's been locked and there's been no activity since 4 March (over 9 months). Can we please have some sort of status update? If no progress has been made, how can I help?

There hasn't been any progress, so we haven't posted an update. The main issue is that scandal does not support multiline searching. If that gets fixed then find-and-replace should naturally be able to support it as well (since scandal does the actual finding).

So if you'd like to help out the first step would be to figure out an efficient way to multiline search, and then post it on the scandal issue for feedback/create a PR.
