AWS SDK for Java 1.x will no longer support Java 7

We announced the end-of-support for Java 7 for the Java SDK v1, starting with version 1.12.768.

Java SDK v1 is currently in maintenance mode, and we recommend that you migrate to Java SDK v2. If you are not ready to migrate to Java SDK v2 yet, you will need to upgrade to Java 8 in order to receive updates for Java SDK v1, which now only consists of bug fixes and security fixes.

If you are not ready to update to a newer Java version, then you can pin your Java SDK v1 version to one that supports Java 7, which will continue to work. However, you will no longer receive new bug fixes or security fixes. To pin a specific version, you will need to specify the version in your pom.xml or build.gradle file.
