Help with overheating on HP Victus? Fans are slow.

Hello everyone,

I am using Omarchy on my HP Victus gaming laptop and I like it very much. But I have a problem.

When I play games, my CPU gets very hot. Sometimes it is 100°C. The fans are working, but they are very slow. They don't speed up when the CPU is hot.

Does anyone have a similar laptop or a similar problem? I am new to this, so any idea is helpful.

While using the Windows 11 operating system, I was using a program from HP called Omen Gaming Hub. This program could control and adjust the fan speed by itself according to the laptop's temperature. My fans could reach very high speeds, like 5900 RPM. Then, I switched to the Omarchy (Arch Linux + Hyprland) operating system and encountered the following problem.

I ran the watch sensors command. Then, I ran a program that would stress the computer and make its fans run. The CPU reached 100 degrees Celsius, and after a short while, the fans started to spin slowly. Although the fans were spinning, in the hp-isa-0000 Adapter: ISA adapter section of the watch sensors command output, both fans appeared to be running at 0 RPM.

I went into the BIOS settings, enabled the fans always on feature, and tried the same thing again, but the result was the same. The fans still started late and continued to show as 0 RPM in the watch sensors output.

When I did a little research on the internet, I saw a package called nbfc-linux and found that it does not support my computer.
