Mirror error: “Exceeded the maximum allowed file size” when installing packages

What's wrong?

When trying to install packages from mirror.omarchy.org, the download fails with this error:
error: failed retrieving file 'qt6pas-6.2.10-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst.sig' from mirror.omarchy.org : Exceeded the maximum allowed file size

you can reproduce the error by installing goverly for example
I got around that error by commenting out the omarchy mirror inside mirrorlist file /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

Getting the same error when installing QEMU (qemu-full): error: failed retrieving file 'brltty-6.8-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst.sig' from mirror.omarchy.org : Exceeded the maximum allowed file size (16384) with 16384 bytes.

This fixed it:

sudo pacman -Sy

[ryanrhughes]

This generally means your db is out of date and the file it's trying to retrieve doesn't match the one that's in the db you have locally. sudo pacman -Sy usualy resolves this.
