Privacy Policy

The privacy of your data is very important to us. This privacy policy explains how our organization uses the personal data we collect from you when you use our Mobile App Skails Map Viewer android app..

If you click on a link to another website, you should read their privacy policy.

1 - What data do we collect?

We collect the following data in a fully anonymized way:

  • the type, version and characteristics of your browser
  • the type, version and characteristics of your mobile phone
  • the type and version of your exploitation system
  • the country where you connect from
  • the different pages you visit using the app (=Browing path)
  • A Device Id used by MixPanel for Analytics purpose
  • every other information you provide to us when you get in touch with us (email when you write to us, Github Id when you push an Issue)

NB: WE DON'T COLLECT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. THE COLLECTED DATA ARE PURELY ANONYMOUS. Thus this is not possible for us to link the data with you.

2 - How do we collect your data?

We collect data that you directly provide to us when you:

  • Use our mobile app
  • Voluntarily send us an email

3 - Why do we collect your data?

We collect your data for purposes including:

  • Browing path is collected to understand the usage that is done with the app and improve our services to provide a better experience for our users
    • Device Id is collected to permit to correlate browsing activities for analytics purpose
  • Other informations are collected for pure statistical purpose

4 - How do we store your data / Our subprocessors?

The following information are sent anonymously then stored in Mixpanel' servers in the EU:

  • the type, version and characteristics of your browser
  • the type, version and characteristics of your mobile phone
  • the type and version of your exploitation system
  • the country where you connect from
  • your browing path
  • a Device Id to correlate the app browsing activity

NB: All those data are anonymous. Thus this is not possible for us to identify you in the Mixpanel system

5 - What are your data protection rights

We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

In case you sent us an email, or you posted issues on our Github Site:
  • The right to access — You have the right to request us for copies of your data
  • The right to rectification — You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete information you believe is incomplete
  • The right to erasure — You have the right to request that we erase your personal data
  • The right to data portability — You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you
In case you simply use the Mobile Application

All data are purely anonimized. We don't have any mean to identify you based on any personal information. Thus we can't read, update, erase any information from Mixpanel system.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us at our email: privacy@skails.com.

We keep our privacy policy under regular review and publish any updates on this web page. This privacy policy was last updated on November 19th, 2022.
