Daily is not daily

Hi!

When I go to an asset account view, I select daily, and I select market value, the top graph does not show a daily representation of the account balance (value), but rather only draws dots on the days that there have been transactions.

Why is this so? Why can't the graph show daily bars?

I'm using latest stable Fava. Thanks in advance for addressing this issue.

The selected interval only applies to charts that are based on some interval.

The account balance renders one point per transaction (and at most one per day), so the interval doesn't apply there.

Is there a way to get a view in Fava that shows the daily value of a particular account, like the Balance Sheet view does but limited to the amounts only within a particular account?

When I try to filter the balance sheet view to an account it also includes amounts from other legs in transactions that involve that account.

And as you mentioned, when I go to the account view, it only shows a data-point for days where there was a posting for that account.

I find that this view only shows data-points in the graph on the days that there are transactions in the account. It does not seem to consider price directives that modify the value of an account in-between transactions on that account.

I am looking for something that allows, e.g. showing a graph of the daily value of a particular share account for which I have daily price directives but might only have a handful of transactions against that account over that period of time.

The 'Balance Sheet' view shows this, but only for the total of all asset/liability accounts. It doesn't give the ability to limit the graph to showing the daily balance of a particular asset/liability account converted into the associated currency (e.g. 'At Market Value' or 'Converted to USD').

Is it possible to use the 'Balance Sheet' view filtered by account, but transforming transactions that match a filtered account so that the legs of those transactions that do not match the account filter are modified to credit/debit an e.g. Equity:External account instead?
Or would it be better to instead modify the 'Account' view to compute balances at $interval when 'At Market Value' or 'Converted to $currency' is selected?
