Summary
There are a few UX issues related to dark mode that impact readability and consistency across the system.
Tested on:
Issues
1. Marketplace article text not readable in dark mode
In Marketplace article pages, the body text renders as black in dark mode, which blends into the dark background and makes content difficult to read.
Expected:
- Text should switch to a light color (white or similar) in dark mode
2. Marketplace articles could improve navigation
Within Marketplace articles, app names/titles are not linkable.
Suggestion:
- Make app titles clickable and link directly to their Marketplace listing
This would improve navigation and reduce friction when exploring apps mentioned in articles.
3. Theme changes do not apply to existing windows
If you switch between light and dark mode while windows are already open in the background:
- UI elements (especially buttons) do not update to the new theme
- Windows need to be fully closed and reopened for the theme to apply correctly
Expected:
- Theme changes should propagate to already open windows without requiring a restart
