May not be working on Bitwig 3.x anymore

Would be interested in learning how to troubleshoot this script on bitwig 3 and the upcoming bigwig 4.

When I installed it I was able to see the controller script in the settings of Bitwig 3.x, but when activated the functions are not as descripted, especially the knobs are not mapping automatically to the devices in the selected track.

Basically there's no difference between running the script other than thanks to the midi control center changes being done, the knobs DID go into relative mode and that makes then NOT useful anymore at all. I have project 2 set up for that setup from the instructions using BeatstepBitwig.beatsteppro, but BSP project 1 is still fine as the knobs are still possible to manually use for midi mapping to vsts or to bitwigs devices, manually, since project one on my bsp is in relative mode in that one.

Wherever the relative mode encoders were supposed to go, they don't go anymore in Bitwig 3

So far it seems to me that adapting the minilab scripts would be a sensible way forward.
