PSA: SEPA banks blocking transfers when receiver’s name mismatch is detected

I refer here to the post by: suddenwhipvapor ( bisq.community/t/psa-sepa-banks-blocking-transfers-when-receivers-name-mismatch-is-detected/13429 ). I don't find it so bad either, but it's somewhat thoughtless regarding all the users who have been loyal for years. Signing multiple bank accounts is not easy. Many users suffer because if only a small change is made to their name, the other party can already escalate a case and/or consider it fraud, even though that's not the case. What do I mean by that? For example, I have 7 bank accounts with Bisq. On 5 of them I now receive money without problems under the name (Mickey Rourke) :))) on two of them I'm only recognized as Mickey de la Rourke ..;) Then the other party can already escalate a case because the name ALLEGEDLY doesn't match. But it does in case 1 and case 2. It also worked without problems for years. I don't want to talk long, but Bisq should allow a small name change in the next version. Just like banks do at the moment. e.g. "Name doesn't match exactly 'Mickey Rourke' the IBAN is for 'Mickey de la Rourke' ... do you want to proceed? ... done, such a simple solution. Anyway, DEX is way too complicated for normal people, so Bisq should make concessions, otherwise everyone will eventually go to CEX and we'll be left among ourselves ;))). I hope, I believe!!! The problem is that the users are not at fault for having different names across various banks (see example above). Three of my bank accounts were not recognized at all in the last three trades with Italian trading partners and no transfer was allowed. Ultimately I had to provide a bank account in the Czech Republic and then it worked. My Swiss account was not recognized, supposedly the name didn't match (which was not the case). Not to mention accounts in Eastern Europe with Cyrillic letters. Often the name translations are wrong and the names are again not recognized. The examples are endless, so a solution is needed.

Having to change from something like 'Mickey Rourke' to 'Mickey de la Rourke' is annoying as it means the account age will be restarted. Unfortunately major changes to accounts can be risky and whilst the change you propose is only small I think the way Bisq is coded means that it would be hard for the software to ascertain what was a small change and what was a major change.

Although the change is annoying it should only be a one time thing and will only affect users whose names get flagged as mismatching on the SEPA payee verification service.

yes, okay, but one could add accounts with very similar names. These then get a new alias and are still signed, because the name is 99% correct ;(. That means, for the same IBAN with the name "Mickey de la Rourke" ... the account will be signed automatically. It's just an idea, maybe it's not so easy to implement technically. But something like that would make things much better. Thanks
