letta on windows

How can I run Letta on my local Windows system? Based on my exploration, I found that Letta can be hosted on Windows using Letta Desktop. However, what is the purpose of installing Letta via pip? Would installing it through pip allow me to create agents using the Letta framework on my local Windows system? can someone help me with this
