When I edit an image I want to export them automatically

When I edit an excalidraw image I always have to export the image to keep the excalidraw metadata and the image itself in sync.

It would be great if the image is exported automatically in the format determined by image containing the metadata.

Bonus:
We export our excalidraw always as light and dark png.

If we edit an image-light.png it would convenient if it would be saved as image-light.png and image-dark.png on save with the according settings for light and dark mode.

That's a good idea.

Right now opening Excalidraw images that can contain metadata (only PNG and SVG) are sync back.

I'm not sure how in the UI i can do that neatly though. Without generating unwanted changes for users that don't want it.
