How did you find the source for this game? #3
Comments
What game are you referring to, and is it a Chrome Extension like Polycraft? |
The name of the game is Save the Day. It wasn't ever published as an extension, just served from the ga.me website. |
Probably not I'll see if I can find a way though |
@sparr |
Save the Day 1.0.0.6 as crx |
I'm tempted to go through your repo here to figure out the paths to everything, then try to get them one file at a time from the archive.org cache of the ga.me website |
this might me the latest backup of the site |
Yeah, the games are locked behind authentication to a dead API. But I suspect all the game files are still fetchable, if we know the paths. |
Well I have the CRX of Save the Day |
I think someone said Edge works with Extension Applications tho |
I'll send it to you rn |
I could honestly probably get the other games too |
Thanks. Seems like these aren't compatible with modern Chrome. I may try to get an older Chromium running. |
Sorry to open this as an issue, but your reddit comment is archived and there are no discussions on this repo.
I am seeking another game from the old http://ga.me and wonder if the resources and methods you used here could be useful for other games.
