What is the recommended way of using zag without a framework?

I came across this CodeSandbox example that shows how to use zag with vanilla JS: https://codesandbox.io/s/vtfktx. While it gives a basic idea of how to achieve this, it doesn't include information on how to use normalizeProps or how to get it fully type safe with TypeScript.

If anyone has experience using zag without a framework, I would greatly appreciate any guidance or advice on the best approach 🙏
