# User Registration & Login

Learn how to create an account and log in to the CKAN Ecosystem Catalog.

## Do I Need an Account?

**No account needed for:**
- Browsing sites and extensions
- Searching the catalog
- Viewing detailed information
- Accessing public metadata

**Account required for:**
- Submitting CKAN sites
- Listing CKAN extensions
- Managing your submissions
- Receiving catalog updates

## Creating an Account

### Navigate to Registration
1. Click the **Sign Up** button in the top right corner
2. Use Github or LinkedIn accounts to signup 

### Complete Your Profile (Optional)
After registration, you can add:
- Profile picture
- Bio or description
- Organization website
