"You might also add a task to revise the database to allow for a department having several degrees. For example,
ISE has IE and SED
MATH has Math and ASRM
MechSE has ME and EM (Engineering Mechanics)"

So what does this imply for the frontend and backend changes? e.g. one suggestionin terms of user experience: we could suggest a possible acronym or two for anew offering, but allow the instructor to enter a new acronym if they desire.
