  1. the blue/black/white is a bit heavy. feels unfriendly.
  2. you need to have the fun stuff (shriniking/moving features) turn off after 1-2 instances. it is distracting when the large image and the header move in consecutive instances
  3. last line of 2014 body copy flows overtop of next element
  4. black text over blue is really dark, potentially troublesome and not great for the map. the map locations get lost because of the tone in the colors.

Fonts:

  • san serif is working well.
  • Serif does not work as designed. Font, color, purpose need another look
    Active states for tabs:
  • participants ex. active page is confusing because when clicking between tabs the last tab stays white.
Overview does not turn white when active. other tabs do not turn off.

There are some problems with the colors:
Map: black outlining white reads 1st before the logo or section title. The emphasis should be on the logo (1), Section header (2), then project (3). The ocean name does not matter and if anything should be small and faint. 50% gray on 30% gray...

The blues don't have enough contrast especially with such a light font. Recommend using white font over blue.
