At the next workshop we also want to offer something for participants that are total beginners and we thought that teaching HTML/CSS Basics (plus maybe some JS) would be a good thing.

However, it would be good to have some beginner friendly teaching resources for that!

Here is something that @erdnusskeks has already researched:

For now we decided to use the makery Tutorial, because it looks decent and it is actually available in both Germand AND English.

The OpenTechSchool already has material for a lot of different workshops, a HTML & CSS for Beginners course included. The material is fully open-sourced and happily shared.
