I am just getting started and downloaded the iOS app today. Unfortunately, I quickly experienced data loss, and then was able to repeat it twice with similar steps. I am using iOS 26.1, cooklang app 0.3.0. I started with storage in iCloud.
I started with nothing and populated the default recipes the app offers. I closed the app on my phone, and edited "easy pancakes" on my macbook with a text editor (I added YAML front matter with a title and description per the spec). Then I went back to the iOS app to see the changes, and after a few clicks around on ingredients/cookware/steps ... all of a sudden it all disappeared and the file was gone from iCloud drive (both on my phone and macbook).
I saw a similar review on the mac app store so hopefully this provides some useful information.
