I would love to see the "next training session" from Garmin Coach in HA.

I am following a Garmin Coach plan, but because it is (too much) linked to my sleep pattern I go to bed with the watch saying I need to do 1h30 the next day, but when I wake up it is instead telling me a need a recovery day. Of course, I can ignore that, but in principle it would be nice to get that workout displayed on a screen in the house, and potentially through a helper give myself a notification along the lines of "tomorrows plan has changed".
https://developer.garmin.com/gc-developer-program/training-api/ seems to suggest there is an API, but reading it it feels more like an inbound rather than an outbound API to GC.

Good request — marking this as to be researched.

Current state: the workouts/last_workout sensors read workout-service/workouts, which is the workout library (workouts you created yourself). Garmin Coach's adaptive sessions never appear there, so this isn't covered today.

It does look feasible though: Coach plan sessions land in Garmin's calendar API (calendar-service/year/{y}/month/{m}), which returns calendarItems with scheduled workouts — date, title, workout ID, training plan ID. That's the same cloud API the integration already authenticates against (the Training API you linked is indeed inbound-only, for partners pushing workouts to Garmin — not needed here). Since the coach plan updates overnight based on sleep/recovery, polling would naturally pick up your "tomorrow's plan changed" scenario.

Open questions before building it: whether adaptive Coach sessions show up in calendar-service for the whole plan or only near-term, and the exact item shape. I don't have an active Coach plan on my account, so once there's a beta you may be asked to test it against yours.

As far as I can see the coach only plans the next 7 days for me. I am experimenting with it at the moment with what I think is an adaptive plan, hence the changes.
