Cypress UI - option to expand/collapse spec after run #33312

What would you like?

I would like a clear interface to navigate between specs after the run

  1. Can "edit in studio" icon be changed so it is more obvious it is rerun and edit? Maybe it could be your studio ai icon
And there in no notification I will loose my run and I will not be able to see what was the error I had. Not that all pop ups asking to confirm are good, but this icon is "gray" not suggesting irrevertible action.

  2. Better visibility where to collapse/expand specs

  • only when running with retries in openmode there are those nice up/down arrows but only on Attempt line and this one is not sticky so can be easily lost. such icons on spec name would be great, could be on hover
  1. Also collapse all specs could be nice as after collapsing one spec I still see uncollapsed spec(!), just a different one, since it was scrolled to other spec. Some improved navigation when having many tests in one spec.

Why is this needed?

The arrow icon for editing spec is very confusing!
It can be challenging if you want to navigate between specs after run. Sometimes it feels like endless scrolling when you only want to collapse it, to see the other one

Other

Maybe it should be a bug ticket? I think there was an arrow down next to spec name, now there is an arrow pointing to right, after clicking it the whole run disappears and starts running again. That is the edit in studio button. I just clicked it twice trying to collapse spec. And I do it every now and then since lately I spend less type in UI tests
Since when an arrow means an edit?
