How can I set LESS options? (needed for Windows but not Linux)

I have been using delta on Linux for a few years and on Windows for less time, as it took a while to realise it was available.

I am using the same delta settings in my git configuration in Windows as I do in Linux, but when I exit from a git log, less exits with the output still visible, unlike on Linux and unlike how it was with my previous git configuration which set less without the -X option.

Is there any way to set the less options in the delta configuration so that I can remove the -X which appears to be here by default on Windows?
