Just so I have a clear idea of the request, does "Add API Communication to Publication Services" mean to have the ability to sign in to platforms such as YouTube and Facebook in order to add a title, description, and perhaps schedule a stream for the respective platforms? If so, that is exactly the feature I am looking for. I was using Mobcrush (free), but then this service ended August 1. I can restream using an nginx rtmp server and put in persistent keys to push the streams to various platforms, but if I want a new title/description and to schedule the stream, I have to log in each platform and add that information for a new stream. It would be much simpler to do this from one app.

HI mate sorry for the late replay .. what is mean is the snap shot photo some programs only have the privacy mask on the video side and when you go to snap shot it it don't keep the privacy mask on hope this helps (under the uk gdpr rules privacy mask would defiantly be a winner ) Also one day think about faceblur another good tool thanks

Hello.
The ability to select a file (video (.avi, .mp4, etc) or an image (.png, .jpg. etc)) as the source and stream it would be great.
This would make it possible to ensure that during maintenance work on a camera and the resulting lack of video data, YouTube, for example, would not kill the stream for lack of data and the URL would therefore become invalid.

I may still have three small suggestions for Restreamer evolutions:
my first idea:
Given that we have the possibility of having several Livestreams on the Channels, it would be nice to be able to switch between them on a single player (I think especially on Live Youtube or Facebook) where it would be possible to configure a time (in seconds or minutes) to be able to switch from a livestream (from a camera) to another automatically on the same live broadcast on YT for example.
For a presentation of several cameras (which would scroll in a given time...) on the same stream broadcast live on a platform...
(If I was not clear enough in the explanation do not hesitate I will detail :))

my second idea:
which concerns a bit what @Countryman98 #325 proposed with the text in overlays...
It would be nice to be able to "customize" these overlays broadcast on the videos a little, with the size, color of the text and
also the location that one could adjust to the place one wants. Even scrolling a text at the bottom in a frame for example...
I don't know if we can already put all types of images (PNG, GIF, JPG, etc.) in the feed because I don't use it but being able to customize the overlays more would be nice :)
I think it would take another panel to manage overlays on streams if that would be feasible...

my third idea:
As proposed by @WaffleBoyQc #discussioncomment-2923938 users to the server and having a panel of users, can't we have management groups: Admin, users... with access rights defined by the admin to users for certain streams or channels with possibly the possibility for them to schedule their broadcasts at the times, dates of broadcast of their live streams...

I do not know of course if my ideas are feasible because it would already complicate the operation of Restreamer already very complete like that!

Thank you for your detailed ideas. We have added them all to the list. As Jan and you have already noticed, some of them were already on the list (1 and 3). The overlay thing is special, complex and a big project. We have to check internally how we can implement it. It will probably depend on the number of Patrons or a major sponsor. Such a module easily costs us two or three month developer costs if you want to implement it properly. We have to see how that can be financed. We will see.

1. Copyright Such a function already exists with the Creative Commons module. That is a very good start. Copyright with Creative Commons is all well and good, but we still need some kind of DRM. We have something like that on the roadmap.
2. “Also a zoom in on the video button” I don't understand. Could you please clarify this a little more?

Creative Commons module only works if you use the player site - I'm taking about the html embed code as wen we but it on our website someone could right click and copy code the the player and put it on there's with our asking.

Nope. CC-Module is also active in the player. Please take a sharp look at the icons in the player. To protect the streams, we still need to include DRM as part of a paywall in further updates.

• Support passing JWT token with data
  The JWT token would be passed in the url query string for the "player.html?jwt=" page (in restreamer 0.x) or equivalent in 2.x.
  The JWT would have some standard attributes like:
  1 - "allow_play_seconds" (restreamer only allow this time span to play)
  2 - "show_ads"
  3 - other user custom attributes

2. Advertising is instead something for an ad server. You can find plugins for advertising at VideoJS. However, it is questionable whether it will be expected soon as a function in the Restreamer. It tends to be no - but never say never!

1 - You mean the user session duration? I'm not talking about a user logged in the restreamer admin console, I'm talking about a user that is playing the video stream.
2 - The specification if the video can play without ads must come secured from server side, and the read by the web player.
3 - Just to be generic, a developer can go to source code and pass more attributes if needed and work with them in the restremer code side, for example information about the user that is playing the video.
I added the code that implements all of this in the previous version of restreamer, it would be very good if you implement/adapt this on the v2, check here: #357 (comment)

I don't think this was requested yet, but better organization of streams would be nice. I'm looking to use your solution with a bunch of IP cameras and an option to group them by location or even see them in a table/list with search would be super helpful. I feel like once I get past 50 cameras it's going to get hard to manage.

Add a bitrate limit per service.

Twitch has a rather low limit of 6MBit for none partners. When i multistream to YT a higher limit with lets say 15 MBit would be great for my overall stream quality.
Currently Restreamer just sends the incoming bitrate to all services. If we could change that per service it would add a lot of value for multistreaming.

It sounds like you're interested in a feature known as "Splitscreen," which allows for displaying multiple video streams simultaneously within a single player. Currently, this specific functionality is not available in our Restreamer software. Because this function is aimed at security, we will not be putting it on the roadmap.

Is it possible to add an OBS crash protection?
I mean if I'm live and OBS crashes, the live ends. Can you add an automatic module that allows the Restreamer to stream a file or a website or something else (chosen by the user), when OBS crashes, so the live feed continues without stopping? And if possible with an alert notification to the user. So the user have the time to restart OBS.

First of all: Amazing project! I have 2 Feature Requests:

SRT STATS
It would be very handy to see the incoming SRT stats, on the dashboard.
Just like this application is doing:

Stats like:
Packetloss, and round trip time is missing now./

Having this feedback is very handy to quickly solve problems!

OFFLINE / FALLBACK SLATE
It would be amazing that we would be able to select an image that can be used as a Offline / fallback slate. So, that when the incoming connections drops, it shows this image. This would be very usefull to prevent streaming going offline: Instead of just disconnecting / stopping the outgoing stream, show an image, and then if the stream goes back online show the incoming source again.

This will make it possible to make slates like: "We are sorry, but currently we have technical problems, we will be right back" Instead of just going offline!
