• the concept of this idea takes advantages from the simplicity of snapchat and applied it to the context of news. I could see it being used for people to consume news and share them in a very different way from what we have today.
• I guess one major problem will be, how can you create a summary of a longer video to describe a news to users in maybe less than a minute. I really like the idea of heat map because it helps users identify the core part of the news - you could possibly build on this idea to present snippets of the video to users based on the most viewed/commented part of the video? That way the user don't have to manually click on the heat map for each video the read. You could also do something like the stories of Snapchat (or Instagram if you like) to feed the user with a mashup of daily news.
