I don't think this is intentional behavior (?). Whenever I enter a certain "noisy" room, the game stops responding correctly to my commands, and instead echos my input, converted to all caps. I have to ctrl+c to quit, and I lose my progress.
A clue to the problem is that when I enter that room, the game describes the room but doesn't print a prompt > at all.
