I agree. Also listing members in a kick menu would be very helpful, but its limited too much |

I would agree, but scrolling through 25 options is already quite far to scroll |

I'm interested in the reasoning behind the 25 Option Choice limit for Slash commands, as it does seem to be particularly restrictive. Is it purely a performance issue? I'm quite new to Discord and Bots, and have much to learn for sure, but I wouldn't have expected that serving up and handling a few hundred/thousand bytes of text as Choices for a Slash command would be that performance intensive, especially in the case of a non public server, and a Bot that will only ever run on that specific server. I agree with previous commenter that scrolling through 25 choices might seem cumbersome, but scrolling is something users are very familiar with, and on a smartphone app, it's quite easy to scroll through long lists, and avoids having to enter characters via the keyboard. I find it works quite well. In my specific use case, I would like to have up to 100 Choices. We have a Discord server for a local mountain bike community. The end users can use a slash command called trail-status to list the status of all trails that are either Open or Closed. This one is simple as there are only 2 Option Choices. We also have a trail crew that maintains the trails, and who will update the status of a trail to Open or Closed. They do this via the trail-status-update slash command. We have 60-70 unique trails that can be ridden in our community. The trail names and status are stored in a backend mysql database. I dynamically create the list of Choices from the database table. It's not practical for the trail crew to have to type the name of the trail manually, as the names of the trails can be quirky/have unusual spelling/might be hyphenated etc. The most user friendly option is to have a list of the trail names that the user can scroll through and select. I've been looking for other solutions, and it seems that Autocomplete might be something that can help. I'm not sure it can? Is it practical to use Autocomplete in my use case? I'm using the interactions.py library and have not had a great deal of success trying to get Autocomplete to work. |

It would be nice if the select menu choice and autocomplete choice limit could be increased from 25 to 40.
With 25 you can for example not allow all days of a month for selection and you cannot provide all characters of the alphabet if the initial auto-complete choices have all of them.
With 40 you could e. g. have a-z and 0-9 and even have 4 special characters with which your choices can start.
