Same situation here.

This works:

npx hardhat gobind --no-compile

This setup does not work:

  "scripts": {
    "gobind": "npx hardhat gobind --no-compile"
  },
  ...
}

npm run gobind

Error:

Your environment is too long (see golang/go#31105). Try to clean some of your env before executing npx hardhat gobind
