As shown in the screenshot below, it should show a pop-up with the full note text. The text should not be shown immediately but after perhaps a second of hovering.

@FifthRooter Perhaps a note that contains an ellipsis due to being too long could display the whole note in a popup when hovering over it?

Ooooh, that's a cool idea! Definitely worth prototyping it at least to see whether it isn't too intrusive. I feel like it might if there ends up being a lot of ellipsed notes, so you'd end triggering hovers wherever you "rest" your mouse, which would become very annoying.

I don't know if you've noticed, but Amazon Prime has a similar annoyance that bugs the crap out of me. The whole width and height of the screen is filled with cards of various shows and movies, and whenever you hover over any of them, it immediately enlarges the hovered-over show and overlaps other shows that I might want to check out. There's no "resting place" for a mouse cursor on that page, which is very bad UX imo. Would be a good idea to not repeat that in the tracker.

This is what I'm talking about with Prime Video.

Oh yeah, hate that user experience aspect in prime. Although, in prime, you literally have no place to rest the cursor without triggering the enlargement of the card. While in the tracker you still have plenty of space where to rest the cursor without triggering the note text enlargement. But I think the best way to find out how it actually feels is with a prototype!

I agree! Prototype it is then!
