Android App Missing contacts and strange change journal behaviour

About 2x weeks ago my wife noticed that a large amount of her contacts on her android phone had gone missing. Etesync is the only source of contacts her phone is configured to use.

I opened up the etesync app to work out what had happened and the change journal is showing an update on every contact at the time I opened the app, and there is no sign of the missing contacts in the journal history.

The changes seem to be in sync with the web app.

This is a bit strange, I can't work out what has happened here.

[EDIT] I have created this in the web-app repo, but it may be better placed in the Android app repo?
