Hello everyone,

Following an invitation from @poojaranjan , I would like to propose an agenda item for the upcoming EIPIP meeting. We wish to briefly present our project proposal for a platform designed to address critical pain points in the current EIP process.

Our motivation is to help streamline and improve the experience for authors, editors, and the broader community by tackling several challenges:

1. Process Inefficiencies: The current process can suffer from fragmented discussions across multiple platforms, leading to slow consensus.
2. High Barrier to Entry: The complexity of the process can make it difficult for new community members to participate effectively.
3. Difficult Author Experience: The EIP creation workflow can be unintuitive, with creators facing technical hurdles that could be simplified, such as validation errors that could be handled by a simple form.
4. Ecosystem & Knowledge Fragmentation: The current EIP-centric process lacks a shared space for cross-protocol knowledge sharing, making it difficult to aggregate standards from the broader ecosystem or effectively issue research RFPs to academia.

Our proposal, the Decentralized Improvement Protocol (DIP), is an open-source public good designed to augment the existing EIP process. It is envisioned as an AI-native discourse space & EIP status state machine to streamline EIP creation, discussion, and review, and to act as an aggregation layer for cross-protocol standards.

We would appreciate the opportunity to present this concept and get feedback from the EIP Editors.
