Is there currently any way to support 12 hour format?
If not is it possible to have a workaround?

+1 We also need this feature.

I think an ideal implementation should allow an arbitrary format string so we can customize the display of the date/time as desired, but at a minimum formatting as a 12 hour format with AM/PM would unblock us.
