Across discussions and issues the need to support for K8S runtime environment has come up a number of times. We should revisit the official support for it in order to reduce barriers for adoption.

@andrewferrone DWS can run "traditional" infrastructure just fine as well, but Kubernetes is preferred for flexibility, scaling and automation reasons.
