Best practices to download a FlyteDirectory

I've seen multiple ways to download a FlyteFile or FlyteDirectory - however I'd like to know what's the best practice / suggested approach?

Is it iterating over the directory (docs) or using the .download() explicitly?

I also came across a discussion that suggests other simple approaches using os module here

I think both are efficient enough, the api call doesn't waste any addtional resource.

flyte_file = FlyteFile("s3://path/to/remote/file")
local_path = flyte_file.download()

flyte_directory = FlyteDirectory("s3://path/to/remote/directory")
contents = FlyteDirectory.listdir(flyte_directory)
for item in contents:
    print(item.remote_source)

I'm currently using an explicit .download() and I'm gonna keep it that way for visibility sake
