Tensile force computation

Hi, very good project. There's one thing that I do not understand: the formula that you use to evaluate tensile contact forces is based on particle velocities rather than on accumulated shear displacement (as shown in the reference paper). I was wondering what is the motivation for this choice. Thank you in advance.
