Who can use GitToken?

Anyone with a GitHub organization can use GitToken. As a community focused project our solution is for organizations of all sizes, not just enterprise.

How can I get started with GitToken

Simply run git token register and follow the instructions provided. Before getting started you'll need a GitHub organization and personal access token. Note that you asdf! git-token-register

I don't have a GitHub personal access token, how do I get one?

Click on your account icon in the top right hand corner

What events can I track and reward using GitToken?

Are there any other limits on how tokens are issued?

No, GitToken allows organizations to have full control over what events in their repositories are worth. However, we encourage users to set rewards that incentivize good GitHub practices for the best results. One such workflow, the feature branching workflow, is described in our 'best practices' section.

Can I block or remove users that abuse the reward system?

How can I see who's donated to my project?

Since any exchange of tokens is processed through the Ethereum blockchain it is up to those donating whether they want to disclose more than their public Ethereum address.

Are my donations to projects through GitToken tax deductible?

No, GitToken is not a registered non-profit and so donations to projects are not tax deductible.

How can contributors redeem tokens issued?

How can I see the number of tokens I've issued or donations my project has received?
