CMake Integration does not work in Visual Studio Code with CMake version 4.0.0-rcX - Unsupported Version

This extension does not work when using CMake version 4.0.0-rcX (currently using 4.0.0-rc3). Every time I load a CMakeLists.txt project (which does configure and build on the command line/terminal) I get the following extension error.
