Thank you for this!!! I never would have gotten there this way. I'm guessing this is a legacy from Booklore. Good news is it can be removed, so that just leaves a way to remove 'Unsorted'. |

What would you like to improve?
Ticket previously raised in Booklore.
The list of static shelves in the left-navigation enforces the display of 'Unsorted' and 'Kobo' shelves, regardless of whether they are in use. It would be ideal for admin to be able to hide/show these.
What's the current friction?
Unsorted: this assumes that static shelves are used to sort all books in the library, however this is not the case for all users. Genres and tags can also be used to sort books, which makes much more sense as these are filterable. For my use case, shelves are only suitable for manual cataloguing at the user level (TBR etc.).
By enforcing this, it signals to my users that the majority of books in the library are uncatalogued, which is not the case. It also takes up unnecessary real estate.
Kobo: none of my users use Kobo, it takes up unnecessary real estate.
What would make this better?
The ability for Admin to globally hide both of these shelves.
Anything else? (Optional)
