What's Your Idea?

Add option to create a "Kindle" shelf, with an associated email address, that automatically sends added books via email to a Kindle device.

Why Would This Be Helpful?

Would be great to fully automate the process of sending books to a Kindle device without having users do the operation manually

Hi,

I think this is a good idea, but I'm more in favor of a more generalized concept. I'll need to think about it more, but I don't want to have "special shelves" besides favorites. A better solution would be to expose these options, including Kobo shelves, and possibly an option with even more functionality.

Good idea nonetheless, just not ambitious enough 😄

I don't mind a more general solution, just not extremely familiar with the stack which makes it difficult to think of abstractions. From a UX perspective I think it could also be nice to have the option of linking devices/sync methods to shelves, so that one could also sync books to multiple devices automatically without managing multiple shelves.

Well, what I'm thinking was to simply generalize these sync stuff and let users themselves attach these "particular" additional functionality to the shelves themselves.

Essentially magic shelves, just instead Boolean rules, it's "tasks" that auto trigger on rules.

I'm thinking out-loud-here, and just wanted to jump before I get a PR, that I inevitably would have needed to decline, because I do not want to keep making more and more special shelves. Rather have it, as I said, in a more generalized manner.

We'll see how this pans out either way. Right now, sadly, this is not a large priority.
