plugin injection into existing `scribe` instance

Hey, I'm writing a browser extension for a website that uses scribe.

I want to add some additional functionality to their scribe editor.

Do you think it is possible to inject a plugin into their scribe?

If so, how would I do it?
If not, what alternative approaches could I use?
