I'm getting various errors when using the script with Redmine 2.x, so I assume that the tool is not Redmine 2.x compatible, is that correct?

That's correct: I'm not currently using the script in anger, so I'm not likely to find the time to bring it up-to-date with Redmine 2.x either. Contributions welcome! Although I note that @seattlerrb's omnifocus gem is maintained (or at least more than this script...).
