Compile a list of target speakers for meetings #38
Comments
Brain DumpConsider reaching out to senior eng managers to get tips for entry-level positions. eg best practices, industry trends, open-source, future of SWE, etc. https://github.com/hellerve/programming-talks#on-the-industrycommunity |
Update: 4/14/23 I sent an inquiry to two past professors I hadwho are tenured SWE's - awaiting response. I posted on a tech org that I am part of; I posted on 2 groups each with 700 people - awaiting response. I tweeted some people - no response. I will target some people on Monday and approach them via LinkedIn. |
Bonnie suggested looking for people who have written articles and having them join for the speaker series. This is a great approach for Lightning Talks and could work for finding speakers. |
Overview
We need to compile a target list of speakers to approach for coming to our meetings. They can either present on a topic or do code reviews and share their best practice from experience.
