It seems to be a bug in tailscale web ui, it happens when you are accessing HA with http, not https. Please open an issue at the tailscale repo. Workaround: try https to access HA, or see the add-on's log, there is a line:
|
I'm using HTTPS, but I'm still encountering the problem. I saw a post request sent to It seems Tailscale may have reverted to a previous version, so this issue might be related. The workaround is working great, thank you. |
This seems to be the correct TS issue: tailscale/tailscale#15065 |
UmbrelOS reverted it's TS client to a previous version due to the bug, TS hasn't done anything with this issue. |
I have installed 1st time, need to check the log, visit the page and login. Then it paired to account. |
Same isseu here , failed to connect |
unfortunately this does not solve the problem of remote access. This only works if you are physically in the same local network. |
If you are on free version of Tailscale you have to be in the TS network, this is not visible from outside. Can be exposed if you have paid plan for Tailscale. |
This works fine and seems to be only solution available now. |
It's very strange. Because I found this way myself a few days ago (wrote about it here - https://community.home-assistant.io/t/problem-with-login-tailscale-on-vm-hass-os/851859) Connection between HASS and Teilscale is successful. And the application sees my HASS server (admin panel in web interface, personal cabinet). But what I've encountered.
|
What server settings you have in app? Looks like you still use local address when connected to tailscale.

But what I've encountered.
Steps to reproduce
1. > I have the Teilscale app installed on my phone
2. > The HASS application is installed on my phone.
3. > My phone is in my home wifi network
4. > When I open the HASS application, everything is fine,
5. > My phone is disconnected from the home network.
6. > My phone is connected to the internet via mobile network.
7. > When opening the HASS application - it cannot establish a connection with the home server.

You mean field "external address" in mobile app? for example: http://100.100.1.15:8123 |
After installation, cannot get login to tailscale via Open Web UI.
Always getting "Failed to login" error.
Tried with Arc, Chrome, Safari - same errors.
Is there any workaround to build link for activation?
