Remove Node.js Backend Dependency #5
Description
Goal: Eliminate the current Node.js backend server and implement direct cloud API communication from the browser extension.
Priority: High
Effort: Large
Acceptance Criteria:
- Remove all backend server code and dependencies
- Update extension to work without local server
- Ensure all existing functionality is preserved
- Update documentation to reflect serverless architecture
Technical Tasks:
- Refactor API communication to use direct cloud APIs
- Remove backend controllers and routes
- Update extension manifest permissions
- Create migration guide for existing users
